Dias Dos
Hola ~ Buenos Dias!
It is a beautiful morning here in Bogota, especially after a couple cups of coffee!!! Everyone got a good catch-up night of sleep last night and now we are preparing to leave Bogota for Florencia. When the manual says "pack light", I have to wonder exactly what that means........even taking what we consider to be the bare minimum, it still seems like we have too much luggage! As I like to know what's ahead of me and plan appropriately (...Janet, be quiet!) it is hard not knowing what we have available to us. We also don't know what, if anything, Kelly Johana is bringing with her. So, we probably have way too much but I need to be prepared!
The anxiety of meeting our new daughter is finally settling in. We know from Lucia she is very excited and has been waiting for us to come. We are anticipating at least a 5-6 day stay in Florencia but it could be less, pray it's not more! We are expecting to arrive at the US Consulate on the following Monday so please pray things go as planned........that would give us a few extra days to "sightsee" and then come home as planned on the 28th.
Georgia is having fun playing with the other kids here, who will be going home to NY. We believe we will be able to return to Zuetana to finish our stay. The staff here is wonderful and is open for the kids to run around a bit! Braden, well.....those who know Braden, enough said! = o ) He is very anxious and nervous and TRYING to be helpful............
Momma Sue and Poppa, we arrived safe and sound without a hitch (except the zipper pull got ripped from MY suitcase so it's rather difficult to open and close.......so much for locking it now!)
Georgia keeps wanting to call Poppa and doesn't understand why she can't......
Julie, thank you, thank you, thank you for listening to me for an hour and a half the day before we left....I know you had tons of work to do but that's what makes you so outstanding! Lucia is a wonderful lady and I am glad we were able to meet her before we left! She even got a hug from Georgia!!!
Kelly, I hope you have received good news on your referral. I've been thinking about you and praying she is the girl for you! Lisa, I am glad we got a chance to visit before we left, I look forward to sharing our travel adventures with you!
Reed and Erin, as you spend your last week in China, I hope you continue to have a wonderful time! The pictures of Abbie are beautiful and we all look forward to meeting her! Cindy, thank you for your message and your prayers!
To all of our friends and family ~ thank you for your love, encouragement and support!
In less than 24 hours, we will be with our new daughter! We are excited, nervous and anxious, joyful........ what a fantastic adventure we have in store for us! Life is good.
Hope all you are well and happy!
Adios for now......Joie
